What began as a 19 year old kid and his laptop has morphed into a full band backing major tours, numerous album releases with Island Records, and an indelible mark on the music scene. PlayRadioPlay! is Dan Hunter of Fort Worth, Texas spilling his heart into the mic and onto the stage while concocting electro-pop sounds resulting in the catchy songs that have forged his success. I cant help but think it sounds like Dashboard Confessional ("Compliment Eacother like Colors") meets Death Cab for Cutie ("Mindy's Secret Song") with parts and lines that evoke MGMT ("The Newcomer of Seven Years"), like exactly. But take that as a good thing, I thoroughly enjoy all of those bands when the time is right and I can see myself working PlayRadioPlay! into my er, playlist. Its eclectic, intriguing, dark, and emotional, bring your boy/girlfriend or just your friend and sway the night away...
