If the exclamation point at the end of their newly released album title Telekinesis! doesn't say it all for you, then let me let you in on a little known secret, this indie-rock band is as hip as it gets. David and Jonie Broekner, Chris Staples and Michael Benjamin Learner fuse electric guitar, electric bass, acoustic guitar and keyboards to create a classic, back country lullaby sound that will send you and your hipster friends into a tizzy of geek glasses and Polaroid pictures while knocking overfilled whiskey glasses in a cheers to "SF" in some dark dive-y space hidden in the mission. Even though they don't claim to actually have any sort of psychic power, they can definitely play a good song about road trips and love, which may make you think they know something about your life. Lump Telekinesis along with flannel and grunge into the "effing good things to come out of Seattle" category.
